This week Therapy Tea Podcast is taking a BREAK! That’s right y’all, we’re practicing what we preach and taking a much needed self-care break. Don’t worry though, we’ve got some great oldie but goodies to re-release for y’all in the meantime.

This week we are sharing Part 1 of our conversation with Felicia Segura who is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. Felicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Marriage, Family and Couples, also from Texas State University.

Felicia is now in private practice for herself! Her practice is called Roots of Healing Therapy and serves all of Texas virtually. Connect with her and check out her website at: https://www.rootsofhealingtherapy.com/

We talk a lot with Felicia about how she connects with and explores the impacts of culture on the mental health field and dig into her passion for working with clients from a culturally-rooted perspective. One big thing we learned from talking with Felicia is that culturally-rooted care is all about having an understanding that culture plays a role in every aspect of someone’s life.
